Flying to Indonesia

There are many international flights flying to the major hubs of Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bali and Surabaya. Numerous airlines including Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Eva Airways, Qantas , KLM and numerous others. Depending where you are, there will be even more choices .

There are also a number of regional, low cost airlines connecting Indonesia with neighbouring countries such as Lion Air (Indonesia-based), Valuair, SilkAir and AirAsia; the list is growing for sure in the near future. Check the aforementioned websites for schedules and booking.

Tip:

a) If you live outside Asia, try to inquire the ticket fare from the Asian travel agents or Asian communities in your area, for example in Chinatown, Little India etc. Most of the times, they will have excellent deals to Indonesia (or any other Asian destinations).

b) If your final destination in Indonesia is not one of the major hubs and if you have time to stay for 2 or more days in these major cities, go to local travel agents and DO buy the domestic airline tickets over there (and not from your point of origin e.g. Amsterdam). You will save a lot of money.
